Domaine Armand Rousseau

The domaine is based in Gevrey-Chambertin, and its historical importance stems from a commercial decision: in the 1920s, Armand Rousseau decided to bottle under his own label rather than sell the harvest in bulk to the négociant houses. It was one of the first domaines in Burgundy to do so, and that shift would redefine the structure of the Côte d'Or.

Expansion continued with his son Charles, who acquired the premier cru Clos Saint-Jacques in the 1950s. Today, the domaine is run by Eric Rousseau and his daughter Cyrielle, covering around fifteen hectares with a substantial share in grand cru vineyards: Chambertin, Clos de Bèze, Charmes, Mazy, Ruchottes and Clos de la Roche.

New oak calibrated to the cru hierarchy, with a style that prioritizes definition over power. Stored under controlled temperature and humidity, with verified provenance.
