Domaine Coche-Dury
The domaine is based in Meursault, in the Côte de Beaune. The management that built its international reputation was led by Jean-François Coche, who took over in the 1970s; today, the estate is run by his son Raphaël. The property covers around eleven hectares spread across numerous small parcels, with distribution by allocation closed for decades.
Its distinctive character is the mineral and smoky note of the whites, resulting from reductive work during ageing. The wines remain on fine lees for a long time, with limited use of new oak: the structure comes not from the wood but from the fruit.
The range includes Corton-Charlemagne, Meursault Les Perrières, Meursault village wines and a benchmark Bourgogne Blanc, as well as the reds from Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie and Volnay. Verified provenance.
