Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
The domaine is based in Vosne-Romanée and holds sole ownership of two of the Côte de Nuits’ smallest climats: Romanée-Conti, just under two hectares, and La Tâche, just over six. No other producer may bottle wines under those names. The estate also includes parcels in Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grands Échézeaux, Échézeaux, and Corton, as well as a share of Montrachet.
The total remains under twenty-five hectares, and around six thousand bottles a year come from Romanée-Conti. The estate has followed biodynamic principles for decades, with low yields and rigorous selection: vintages deemed inadequate are declassified rather than bottled under the climat’s name.
Distribution takes place by allocation in assorted cases: for this producer, provenance and traceability matter more than for any other. Storage at controlled temperature and humidity.
