Domaine Emmanuel Rouget

Emmanuel Rouget is the nephew of Henri Jayer, the winemaker who, from the 1950s onward, redefined the way Pinot Noir is made in Vosne-Romanée. Rouget worked alongside him for years and gradually took over his vineyards and methods. The estate is based in Flagey-Échezeaux and today involves his sons Nicolas and Guillaume.

The method learned from Jayer remains recognizable: total destemming, cold maceration, controlled yields, aging in barriques with a significant proportion of new oak, and no fining or filtration. The result is wines with clear fruit and a fine texture that open earlier than more austere Bourgogne wines without losing longevity.

The range includes Bourgogne, Savigny-lès-Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Échezeaux, and Vosne-Romanée wines, including the premier cru Cros Parantoux. Allocation-based distribution, with traceable provenance.
