Domaine Leroy

Domaine Leroy was established in 1988, when Lalou Bize-Leroy acquired the vineyards of Domaine Charles Noëllat in Vosne-Romanée and Domaine Philippe-Rémy in Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate covers around twenty hectares, spread across some of the most important climats of the Côte d'Or, with immediate and complete conversion to biodynamic farming.

Yields rarely exceed twenty hectolitres per hectare, compared with the fifty permitted by many regulations: hence the wines' concentration and structural scarcity. Whole clusters, indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtration; some grand crus are released in only a few hundred bottles per vintage.

Three similarly named entities should be kept distinct: Domaine Leroy, the Maison Leroy négociant house, and Domaine d'Auvenay. Controlled storage and traceable provenance.
