Krug
Founded in Reims in 1843 by Joseph Krug, the maison was born from an unconventional choice: rejecting the logic of the vintage and creating the most expressive Champagne possible each year. Each parcel is vinified separately in 205-liter oak barrels, and every wine is tasted and classified before blending; those that do not meet the standard are not included in the Cuvée.
This gives rise to a library of reserve wines preserved for up to fifteen years, the raw material for Grande Cuvée: more than 120 wines from over ten vintages, aged for at least seven years on the lees. Alongside it are the Vintage, the Rosé, and the two Champagne wines from enclosed parcels, Clos du Mesnil and Clos d'Ambonnay.
The bottles in this selection are stored under controlled temperature and humidity, with traceable provenance for each reference.
