Marc Roy

The domaine is based in Gevrey-Chambertin and run by Alexandrine Roy, the family's fourth generation, at the helm since 2003 after her father Marc and now responsible for the vineyards, cellar and sales. The estate extends to around four hectares, almost all in Gevrey, with a small parcel in Marsannay.

The approach is explicitly traditional: hand-harvesting, complete destemming, indigenous yeasts and gentle pressing, with oak that should not make itself felt. The reds are released in a few village cuvées, including the Vieilles Vignes, the Clos Prieur and the Cuvée Alexandrine, made entirely from millerandaged grapes.

The STELT selection concerns the estate's only white wine, Marsannay Les Champs Perdrix, from a high-altitude vineyard on the border with Fixin, in the 2017 vintage and 0.75-litre format. Verified provenance.
