Radikon
The estate is located in Oslavia, on the eastern border of Collio, on marl and sandstone soils. The turning point came in 1995, when Stanko Radikon revived skin maceration for white wines, a practice the previous generation had abandoned.
Macerations last for weeks or months, using indigenous yeasts, followed by ageing in large Slavonian oak casks for more than three years; since the early 2000s, no sulphur has been added at any stage. The bottles come in 500- and 1,000-millilitre formats, with an enlarged neck and closure diameter designed by the estate.
The range includes Ribolla Gialla, Jakot, Oslavje, Slatnik, and the red wines Merlot and Pignoli. Management is now entrusted to his son Saša. Controlled storage.
