Vietti
The winery is based in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo area, and its family production dates back to the first decades of the twentieth century. The approach that made Vietti a benchmark is bottling by individual cru, adopted before the practice became widespread in the Langhe: Rocche di Castiglione, Brunate, Lazzarito, Ravera, and Villero Riserva are vinified and marketed separately.
The winery is also responsible for the revival of Arneis, a white grape variety from Roero that had almost disappeared and was reintroduced in the late 1960s. Since 1974, the cru labels have featured works by contemporary artists, one for each vintage.
The range covers the entire spectrum of Piemonte, from appellation Barolo to individual crus, with Barbera, Nebbiolo Langhe, Dolcetto, and white wines. Stored under controlled conditions.
