Loire wines

The Loire is France’s most extensive wine region and spans very different climatic conditions, from the Atlantic to the center of the country. This results in a variety of styles that no other French region can cover with the same breadth.

Chenin Blanc produces whites ranging from taut dry wines to sweet wines for long aging; the Sauvignon of Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé expresses calcareous soils with saline precision; the Cabernet Franc of Chinon, Bourgueil, and Saumur creates reds with clear fruit and fine tannins.

It is also one of the areas where low-intervention viticulture became established earliest. Controlled storage and traceable provenance.
