Allante & Boulanger

Christian Boulanger and Mathieu Allante, long-time vineyard workers at Domaine Labet, have built a small estate of their own: 3.2 hectares between Rotalier, Gizia and Maynal, in the southern Jura, farmed biodynamically. All the wines are released as Vin de France.

The cellar approach is pared back to the essentials: no additives, no clarification or filtration, and manual bottling. Sous Poids is a Chardonnay aged in foudre, with no added sulfites in the 2022 vintage; Phenomaynal is a skin-macerated Chardonnay from vines in Maynal; La Barde blends Chardonnay and Savagnin.

The STELT selection includes these three cuvées and the reds: Gamay Le Creux, Poulsard and Pineau d'Aunis, a rare grape variety from the Loire region in the Jura, also available as Le Clos du Val from Montrieux. Provenance verified.
