Antonio Quari

Antonio Quari is the winemaker at Domaine Prieuré Roch, where he trained alongside Henry-Frédéric Roch. Under his own name, with the motto Non Progredi Est Regredi on the label, he has produced a single cuvée since 2017: a red Ladoix from the Les Briquottes lieu-dit, in the northernmost appellation of the Côte de Beaune.

The grapes come from a vineyard planted in 1976 and farmed organically, and are vinified using the method he learned at Prieuré Roch: whole clusters, spontaneous fermentation, foot pigeage and gravity-fed remontage, ten months in used barriques, bottling without clarification or filtration and with minimal doses of sulfur dioxide. Quantities are limited.
