Ca' di Press

Ca' di Press is the winery of the Pressenda family, after whom it is named, in the Perno cru of Monforte d'Alba. For generations, the family has cultivated around seven and a half hectares of vineyards, long delivering the grapes to other producers and selling wine in bulk; the first vintage with its own label was 2018, with sisters Alice and Cristina Pressenda running the estate alongside their father Bruno.

The approach is traditional: spontaneous fermentations, long macerations for Nebbiolo destined for Barolo, and aging in large twenty-five-to-thirty-hectolitre casks, with stainless steel used for the other wines. The range is the area’s classic selection: Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, and Barolo, with Perno as the flagship label.
