Canalicchio di Sopra

The estate was founded in 1962 in Montalcino, when Primo Pacenti began cultivating the land in the Casaccia area, on the north-eastern slope of the hill. Pacenti was one of the twelve founders of the Brunello Consortium in 1967; today the estate is run by his grandchildren Francesco, Marco, and Simonetta Ripaccioli, the third generation.

The vineyards cover around twenty hectares, divided between two distinct areas: Montosoli, on galestro soils, and Canalicchio, on clay soils around the winery. Brunello is made by combining the two slopes; maturation takes place in large Slavonian oak casks, with racking kept to a minimum.

The STELT selection includes Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, in the 2015 vintage in 0.75-litre bottles and the 2016 vintage in magnums. Controlled storage, verified provenance.
