Castello di Ama

The estate is based in Ama, a hamlet of Gaiole in Chianti, on some of the highest-elevation vineyards in Chianti Classico. It is run by Marco Pallanti and Lorenza Sebasti, and has played a decisive role in bringing the area’s Sangiovese back to an expression of finesse.

The winery adopted single-vineyard vinification early on: Bellavista, La Casuccia and San Lorenzo are released separately, each with its own profile shaped by the exposure and soil of the parcel.

L'Apparita is pure Merlot from a parcel identified in the late 1980s. The estate also hosts an ongoing contemporary art programme. Controlled storage, verified provenance.
