Domaine des Comtes Lafon

The domaine is based in Meursault and managed by Dominique Lafon, who since the 1980s has brought the parcels previously leased out back under direct management. The estate has been farmed biodynamically for over twenty years.

The holdings include a share of Montrachet, Meursault’s premier crus including Perrières, Charmes, Genevrières, Poruzots and Bouchères, as well as Volnay premier crus and Monthelie for the red wines. The whites remain on their lees for a long time, with new oak used in moderate proportions.

The result is Meursault with structure and long aging potential, distinguished more by density and savoriness than by opulence. Controlled storage, traceable provenance.
