Domaine Duroché

The domaine is based in Gevrey-Chambertin and is run by Pierre Duroché, who took over from the family’s fifth generation in 2005. The estate covers around eight hectares, all concentrated within the commune.

The holdings include the grand cru Charmes-Chambertin, Griotte-Chambertin and Latricières-Chambertin, the premier cru Lavaux Saint-Jacques and Estournelles, and the village Le Clos from an enclosed parcel. The generational transition has led to a clear reduction in new oak, lighter extraction and increasing use of whole clusters.

The result is fine, vertical Gevrey wines, far removed from the more extracted style that was widespread in the appellation in the past. Controlled storage, traceable provenance.
