Domaine Kuheiji
Domaine Kuheiji was established in Morey-Saint-Denis by Kuno Kuheiji, the fifteenth generation to lead Banjo Jozo, a sake house active in Nagoya since 1647. The project began in 2013, and the first vintage made was 2016; in the cellar, Hirotaka Ito works after more than fifteen years as a sake artisan at the parent house.
The estate covers around two and a half hectares between Morey and Chambolle-Musigny, complemented by cuvées made with grapes from partner growers. The philosophy comes from sake: minimal intervention, temperature control and maceration.
The STELT selection ranges from Coteaux Bourguignons and Bourgogne Blanc to the village wines of Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis and Nuits-Saint-Georges, as well as the white Chassagne-Montrachet and the Corton Grand Cru 2020, 2021 and 2022. Provenance verified.
