Enmore

The Enmore distillery operated on the east coast of Demerara, Guyana, until its closure in 1994. Production under that name has ceased since then, and existing bottles come from the remaining casks, bottled over the subsequent decades.

The plant that defined its character is the greenheart wooden Coffey still, built in the nineteenth century and the only example of its kind still in existence. Upon closure, it was not decommissioned but disassembled and moved to Diamond, where it remains in operation: this is the only case in which the still outlived the distillery.

Rums distilled before the transfer are quantitatively defined and cannot be reproduced. Controlled storage, verified provenance.
