Guffens-Heynen
The domaine was established in 1976 in Vergisson, in the Mâconnais, when Jean-Marie Guffens and Maine Heynen acquired several parcels in an area then considered marginal compared with the Côte d'Or. Guffens himself later founded the Verget négociant house.
The approach focuses on very low yields, late and selective harvesting, and slow pressing, with maturation in oak barrels and no attempt to add richness. The result played a decisive role in restoring Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon-Pierreclos to the ranks of Burgundy’s great white wines.
The selection includes Mâcon-Pierreclos, including Le Chavigne and its parcel selections, as well as entry-level Bourgogne wines. Controlled storage, traceable provenance.
