Guffens-Heynen

The domaine was established in 1976 in Vergisson, in the Mâconnais, when Jean-Marie Guffens and Maine Heynen acquired some parcels in an area then considered marginal compared to the Côte d'Or. Guffens himself later founded the Verget négoce house.

The approach focuses on very low yields, late and selective harvesting, and slow pressing, with barrel aging and no pursuit of added richness. The result has significantly contributed to bringing Pouilly-Fuissé and Mâcon-Pierreclos back into consideration among the great white Burgundy wines.

The selection includes Mâcon-Pierreclos, such as Le Chavigne and its single-vineyard selections, and the entry-level Bourgogne wines. Controlled storage, traceable provenance.
