Markus Molitor

The estate is based in Bernkastel-Wehlen, on the Moselle, and has been run by Markus Molitor since 1984. Over time, the property has expanded to include numerous historic sites between the central Moselle and Saar, with a significant share of ungrafted vines on slate slopes.

The immediately recognizable feature is the capsule system, which indicates the level of residual sugar independently of the classification on the label: white capsule for dry wines, green for off-dry wines, and gold for sweet wines. This is information that German wine regulations alone do not provide.

The range includes Riesling Spätlese and Auslese from the Zeltinger Sonnenuhr and Schlossberg, Ürziger Würzgarten, and Pinot Noir sites. Controlled storage, traceable provenance.
