Mongeard-Mugneret
The domaine is based in Vosne-Romanée and is currently run by Vincent Mongeard, who continues the work begun by his father Jean after the war. The estate covers more than thirty hectares, a substantial size by Côte de Nuits standards.
The size of the estate allows for an unusually extensive range: from the grand cru Échezeaux, Grands-Échezeaux, Clos de Vougeot and Richebourg to the premier cru wines of Vosne and Nuits, village wines and entry-level Bourgogne wines, the latter among the most accessible ways to approach the house style.
The approach is classically oriented, with ageing in barriques and new oak calibrated to the level of the cru. Controlled storage, traceable provenance.
