Mugneret-Gibourg
The domaine is based in Vosne-Romanée and is run by sisters Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée Mugneret, daughters of Georges Mugneret, an ophthalmologist who brought the family’s parcels together under a single label in the 1970s. The next generation is also now involved.
The estate covers around nine hectares and includes the grand cru Ruchottes-Chambertin, Clos Vougeot and Échezeaux, as well as the premier cru vineyards of Chambolle-Musigny and Nuits-Saint-Georges. Almost total destemming, measured extraction and new oak calibrated to the cru’s hierarchy produce wines with fine tannins and aromatic definition, more elegant than powerful.
Distribution is by allocation, and quantities remain limited. The bottles in this selection are stored under controlled temperature and humidity, with traceable provenance.
