Pierre Andrey
Pierre Andrey does not have a domaine in the classic sense: he makes wine in a garage near Metz, in Lorraine, together with his wife Florence Bouleaux, and works as a medical equipment engineer in Luxembourg. The grapes come from organic growers in Alsace, Jura, Burgundy, and Beaujolais.
The hallmark of his work is vinification in glass demijohns, without adding or removing anything. Each demijohn becomes a lot of its own, consisting of just a few dozen bottles, and the label retains its code: grape variety, vintage, and demijohn number. Production is around three thousand bottles a year, all Vin de France.
The STELT selection includes a Gamay 2021 (GA21dj256, Series 1), a Pinot Gris 2020 (PG20dj20, Series 21), and the Eau de vie de Marc 2018, distilled from pomace. Provenance verified.
