Taittinger

The house is based in Reims and descends from the Forest-Fourneaux house, founded in 1734: Pierre Taittinger acquired it in 1932 and gave it the family name. The cellars occupy the Gallo-Roman crayères beneath the former Saint-Nicaise Abbey, and the vineyard holdings now exceed two hundred and eighty hectares. Since 2020, the estate has been managed by Vitalie Taittinger.

The flagship cuvée is Comtes de Champagne, a blanc de blancs first produced with the 1952 vintage. In 1983, Claude Taittinger launched the Collection series: vintage bottles covered with a sleeve designed by an artist, from Vasarely to Lichtenstein.

The STELT selection includes Collection 1986, with a sleeve designed by Hans Hartung, and Prestige Rosé in its old-label version, a rosé blend with red Pinot Noir wine. Provenance verified.
