Domaine Sylvain Cathiard

The domaine is based in Vosne-Romanée, and management passed to Sébastien Cathiard, who took over from his father Sylvain in 2011. The estate remains around five hectares, divided among very small parcels.

The holdings include the premier cru Aux Malconsorts, bordering La Tâche, Aux Reignots below La Romanée, and the premier crus of Nuits-Saint-Georges and Chambolle-Musigny. Production involves destemming, cold maceration, gentle extraction, and ageing in barriques with new oak proportioned according to the cru.

The style prioritizes tannin finesse and fruit precision over concentration. The range also includes red Bourgogne and Aligoté. Storage at controlled temperature and humidity, with traceable provenance.
