Macallan The Harmony Collection Inspired by Toasted Coconut NV 0,7l

Inspired by Toasted Coconut is one of two versions of the sixth and final chapter of The Harmony Collection, the series in which The Macallan has linked its whiskies to an ingredient from the natural world. It is a Scotch single malt, released in August 2026 for airport duty-free shops and bottled at 43.3% ABV.

The Macallan was founded in 1824 at Easter Elchies, on the banks of the River Spey, in the heart of Speyside. Since 2018, it has operated from a new distillery built into the estate's hillside.

For the distillery, wood comes first: much of a Macallan's character comes from the casks, seasoned with sherry in Spain before arriving in Scotland, and the whisky's color comes only from what the wood gives it.

This chapter was matured in American oak, partly in sherry-seasoned casks and partly in casks that had held bourbon. It was composed by master whisky maker Kirsteen Campbell with the house team. The packaging is made from discarded coconut fibers, transformed into a black material using an emission-free process.

The name points to an inspiration, not an ingredient: there is no coconut in the whisky. The theme here is toasted coconut, which the distillery pairs with pastry notes such as crème caramel and vanilla. American oak, along with the bourbon it once held, brings these sweet notes, alongside the richer fruit from sherry casks.

The series began in 2021 with Rich Cacao, created with pastry chef Jordi Roca of El Celler de Can Roca, and continued with coffee, wood and tea, always in packaging made from production waste. The final chapter returns to the Roca table and comes in two versions: Inspired by Fresh Coconut for shops, and this Toasted Coconut, first presented at Taipei Airport and then at airports around the world.

In the STELT selection, this Macallan is the final piece in the Harmony Collection, in the version hardest to find outside airports: a single malt to open and enjoy at leisure, or to keep alongside the other chapters in the series.
